Job Description AECOM is currently seeking an experienced and talented Senior Freight Rail Project Manager - Civil/Track Design to join and to report to the AECOM US East Region Rail Group. This person will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of exciting freight rail design projects with the AECOM rail group with a focus on supporting and growing our Class I, short line and industrial clients. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as an AECOM senior project manager on rail projects from planning, preliminary engineering, and final design. Accountable for developing project scope, budget and schedule and lead client contract negotiations. Coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others team members as well as support business development. Provide leadership and mentorship to subordinate managers and technical engineering staff. Performance at this level requires experience in a professional position and demonstrated experience with the types of tasks that will be required. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field + six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field 10 years of related experience Professional Engineering license (or ability to obtain) 8 years of relevant experience in rail design, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Proficient with OpenRoads/OpenRail or other BIM Software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D/GeoPak) AECOM is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Relocation assistance is not available. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000.
