Valley Fire Protection & Plumbing is hiring a Fire Sprinkler Design Technician. In this position, you would be responsible for working with our team of salesmen, project managers, and field crews to layout and design a fully functional fire sprinkler system. Job Summary: A Sprinkler Engineering Technician will work in a team environment to design a water-based fire protection system. Work will include all aspects of the system design including CAD layout, code interpretation, design submittal, and coordination. This individual will also continue to support the project through installation and turnover to the Owner. Responsibilities
Work with the design team to complete layout and design of a complete sprinkler system including running hydraulic calculations. Ensure the design meets NFPA and local codes. Provide detailed drawings to the field crews for seamless installation. Drafting/layout of fire protection systems, code interpretation, coordination with architects/engineers/building trades and building officials, material procurement, and coordination with field personnel. Requirements
4-5 years of fire sprinkler design and layout experience required CAD experience required Experience with HydraCAD, AutoSprink or similar required Experience using Bluebeam, Adobe Pro to markup and package PDFs preferred Self-motivated, driven, detail-oriented, able to multi-task ongoing projects, and strong teamwork Experience with MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word required High school diploma/GED required Associates degree or Bachelors degree with engineering emphasis preferred Benefits
