Overview
The Sales and Advertising Support Associate plays a key role in driving the success of the AAN Conferences by supporting and executing sponsorship and advertising opportunities. Responsibilities include coordinating high-visibility exhibitor presentations (e.g., Product Theaters), managing live and virtual advertising initiatives, and supporting budget tracking for revenue and expenses to ensure smooth financial operations behind the scenes. Responsibilities
Coordinate high-visibility exhibitor presentations and sponsorship opportunities. Manage live and virtual advertising initiatives for conferences. Support budget tracking for revenue and expenses related to sponsorships and advertising. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in event operations in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional conference experiences. Qualifications
Education
Associate’s Degree in Management, Business or related field is required Bachelor’s Degree preferred Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) preferred Experience
3 years of prior Sales, Business Development/Relationship Management, and/or Marketing support experience in a business setting or conference/event environment is required Demonstrated experience achieving sales goals or targets is required Event and Exhibit experience preferred Experience using Salesforce is preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Proficiency in MS Office or similar software suite is required Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines Attention to detail, accuracy, and recordkeeping Strong written and verbal communication skills Customer service skills to provide prompt, courteous information to internal and external customers Ability to handle confidential information and work independently as well as in teams Experience with tradeshow software is preferred Travel, Location, and Schedule
Travel: Minimal travel required – up to 5% Location: Minneapolis, MN; hybrid (in-office with some remote work) Schedule: Rarely beyond standard work hours What We Offer
