SUMMARY This position plans and completes civil design for site/land projects with little or little to no supervision from the Engineer of Record. A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE Our exciting and entrepreneurial culture will require you to think creatively, solve problems and meet the needs of our clients daily. A typical day might include the following: Independently performs CAD Design assignments with clear and specified objectives and involving conventional types of plans, surveys, investigations, structures or equipment. Work is reviewed for the application of sound professional judgment. Assist with establishing Design budgets based on work required Apply manpower needs for deadlines and budgets Determine and schedule project deadlines Assist with change order/revision documentation on plan sets Assist in implementing Cad Standards. I.e. Templates, Blocks, Details, Civil 3D Style Creation and Standards Manual Decision making and problem-solving Demonstrates advanced technical expertise Performs design calculations, prepares equipment or material specifications, and provides direction to technical support or drafting personnel Being familiar with Agency Submittals/Approvals as it applies to the project. Using general mathematical skills to manipulate standard design formulas. Interacting with internal project team members. Recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes. May exercise judgment in making selections and the adoption of alternatives. “MUST HAVE” QUALIFICATIONS Completed a minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience. 15+ years of experience in land development civil engineering. Advanced experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE Associate’s degree in engineering technology Credits in an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program. Experience with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, ICPR4, HEC-RAS, or other engineering software.
