Overview Client is looking for highly experienced Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs) to analyze, design, and develop creative and innovative learning solutions as part of a cross functional team. This individual will perform tasks to design and develop learning solutions both independently and under the leadership of a project lead. In this role, the ISD will also serve as a lead instructional designer mentoring other designers. The courseware may be produced for many different industries and in a variety of delivery media. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, creative, learn quickly, have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and be willing to accept new challenges.

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, and develop learning solutions as part of a cross functional team, independently or under a project lead.

Serve as a lead instructional designer mentoring other designers.

Develop courseware for various industries and delivery media.

Lead a cross-functional team to ensure training components meet instructional and business requirements and quality standards.

Build project schedules and track progress on courseware development tasks.

Develop proposals and project cost metrics.

Manage relationships with customers and subject matter experts, including revising standards for training development projects across a curriculum or project.

Anticipate, troubleshoot, and recommend solutions to problems related to training development.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of five years of experience developing training in a variety of delivery media utilizing instructional systems design concepts, practices, and procedures, including the ADDIE model.

Strong writing and professional communication skills (language, grammar, spelling, and content organization).

Ability to conduct analyses and design/develop creative learning solutions for projects or curricula; recommend blended learning solutions aligned to business requirements.

Design and develop content for multiple courses across multiple delivery methods (eLearning, Instructor-Led, Virtual Classroom, etc.).

Experience with LCMS/LMS, SCORM, and adult learning theories.

Experience applying financial management principles such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS) including percent complete, budget at complete, risk mitigation, recovery plans, and opportunity realization.

Excellent software skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project.

Mastery of training development software such as Articulate Presenter, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora Inspire, or Adobe InDesign.

Desired Experience

Managing training projects using financial management principles.

Employing courseware translation processes.

Applying Section 508 requirements to courseware.

Leading Six Sigma projects to solve problems and recommend solutions.

Establishing new customer relationships and development standards.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, English, or a related field required.

Master's degree preferred.
