Position Summary

This position will be responsible for providing advanced design and drafting services for engineering projects and maintenance modifications. Responsibilities

Prepares designs and estimates from general instruction and/or preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematics. May recommend modifications and changes for design improvement and simplification. May occasionally assist in the training and oversight of lower level drafting personnel, including contractors. Documents and/or reviews facility changes and complies with the Company’s Process Safety Management program. Oversees technical support to all departments that will result in safe, efficient and cost effective installations. Executes advanced complex design, preliminary equipment studies, equipment/plot layout, complex pipe conduit routing, standard detail design development and structural /concrete design and detailing. Ensures the CAD files and equipment files are maintained per company standards. Leads the fieldwork required for design, including obtaining field dimensions/surveying, field verification of existing drawings and provides technical assistance to field construction as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Education

High School Diploma required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Drafting Technology preferred. Experience

Preferred 10 years of piping design experience, preferably in the pipeline, terminal, refinery or related industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx 3D, CADWorx P&ID, & Isogen is required. Proficiency working with Survey data and 3D laser scan data is required. Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products required. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proof work for accuracy. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to coordinate effectively with other personnel, corporate departments, as well as with external customers required. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, managing time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines. Ability to take directions from supervisors and work in a team environment required. Ability to work independently with very limited supervision and independently conduct job accountabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills required. Equal Opportunity
