Senior Marketing Automation Specialist Location:

West Coast Office, hybrid – 3 days per week at GHD office

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Automation Specialist who thrives at the intersection of technology and creativity. Passionate about optimizing B2B marketing campaigns, managing cutting‑edge platforms, and turning data into actionable insights, you will partner with Marketing teams to drive business growth and inspire clients.

What You Will Do

Lead marketing automation initiatives to drive demand generation and growth using our MarTech ecosystem and multi‑channel campaigns.

Define and continuously refine list segmentation strategies and rules to ensure effective audience targeting and maximize activation of the marketable database.

Create and improve campaigns, engagement studio nurtures and automations to feed into personas, lead scoring/grading rules, personalization and audience engagement programs.

Optimize email campaigns to drive outstanding click‑through rates, resulting in high‑quality marketing qualified leads (MQLs) and contributing to pipeline growth.

Help define, set up and administer systems and governance processes for successful marketing use of Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, Personalization and Advertising as well as integrations with Salesforce and other tools in the stack.

Partner with marketing and IS teams to drive results, resolve marketing issues and support critical business initiatives.

Test and manage consent management rules, related lists, and ongoing compliance.

Administer email and audience management over and under‑targeting rules, tag governance, folder structure, custom objects, ongoing clean‑up and campaign naming conventions.

Scope out new requirements for systems, integrations and process changes that will improve marketing’s effectiveness. Test and rollout new changes to marketing.

Lead and/or contribute to projects related to optimization of our MarTech stack, use of A.I. and future innovations.

Required Experience And Knowledge

5+ years of hands‑on experience implementing and using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), with advanced skills in building and segmenting audiences.

Salesforce certifications in Account Engagement and Sales Cloud are preferred.

Advanced Experience Working With

Marketing automation and engagement platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, Eloqua, Marketo.

CRM campaign automations, including building flows within Salesforce CRM.

Integration platforms such as Zapier, Workato, Tibco.

Event and webinar platforms, ideally Eventbrite and ON24.

Good Understanding of Key MarTech Tools

Personalization tools, such as Adobe Target or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization.

Analytics platforms, including Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence, Power BI.

Adtech platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advertising Studio.

AI tools and technologies relevant to marketing and automation.

Overall Skills And Experience

Strong problem‑solving skills – able to work with incomplete information to design and document effective solutions (“white space” solutioning).

Excellent presentation skills – confident communicating marketing technology plans and progress to a variety of stakeholders, helping teams understand the business value.

Able to work independently with strong attention to detail, and a flexible, resourceful approach to delivering results.

Comfortable managing multiple projects across global time zones in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Empathetic and culturally aware, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

Self‑motivated and curious – a strong desire to stay up to date on MarTech and AI trends and best practices.

401(k) – Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following three months of service.

Paid time off – PTO starts at 16 days per year and increases with years of service.

Holiday pay – GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay is based on the regular set schedule for the employee.

Wellness benefit – regular full‑term employees are eligible to participate in the wellness reimbursement program. GHD will reimburse 50% of the cost of the following to maximum of $250.00 annually: health club membership fees, home exercise equipment purchases, bicycles, race/run & marathon entrance fees, smoking cessation programs, weight loss programs (e.g., Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig), Fitbits and fitness tracking devices.

Salary range: $93,495 – $155,825.
