Sales and Marketing Manager
to lead our company-wide marketing efforts and provide essential support to our commercial products division. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns, particularly within the manufacturing, hardwood or millwork industry. This role requires a dynamic individual who can balance creative marketing development with hands-on sales training and support.
Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy and Execution
Develop, implement, and manage a cohesive, company-wide
marketing strategy
to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive sales across all product lines.
Execute the creation and production of all
print marketing materials , including brochures, catalogs, specification sheets, and direct mail campaigns.
Manage and grow the company's presence on
social media platforms , creating engaging content that aligns with brand identity and business goals.
Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of
tradeshow participation , including booth design, logistics, pre-show promotion, and post-show follow-up.
Manage the marketing budget, track ROI on all initiatives, and provide regular reporting on performance.
Commercial Division Support and Development
Develop and deliver comprehensive
training programs
for the commercial sales team on product knowledge, market trends, and effective sales techniques.
Manage and direct a team of territory sales agents throughout North America.
Act as a key resource and
support
for the commercial division, assisting with complex client presentations, bid preparation, and key account management.
Plan and execute
travel
to support sales efforts, including client visits, market research, and attendance at industry events.
Gather and analyze market intelligence to identify new business opportunities and competitive threats.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience:
Minimum of
5 years of experience
in a sales and marketing role, with significant experience in the
hardwood, millwork, building materials, or construction industry
highly preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Marketing Expertise:
Demonstrated success in managing both traditional (print, tradeshow) and digital (social media, website) marketing channels. Hands‑on design/production skills are highly preferred.
Leadership & Training:
Proven ability to train, motivate, and support a sales team. Excellent presentation and public speaking skills are essential.
Strategic & Analytical:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Travel:
Ability to travel approximately 25-40% of the time to support commercial operations and tradeshows.
