Health Editor
to oversee the
assignment and editing of medical news content
related to
cardiology . This role ensures content accuracy, clarity, and relevance for a
physician audience . The ideal candidate has a
strong background in cardiology content editing , exceptional
editing skills , and the ability to work
under tight deadlines
in a fast-paced, virtual newsroom. Key Responsibilities: Develop
fresh and engaging
story angles in
cardiology . Assign and edit
high-quality cardiology articles
for a specialized physician audience. Collaborate with
freelance writers , providing clear guidance and feedback. Work with
marketing teams
to create compelling newsletters and promotional content. Coordinate with
operations teams
to ensure timely publication of content. Support the
Cardiology and Campaigns teams
on special editorial projects. Qualifications & Requirements: 5+ years of health content editing experience. Extensive knowledge of cardiology
and
5+ years of cardiology content experience . Strong ability to
assign and refine story ideas
for freelancers. Deadline-driven
with high productivity and attention to detail. Ability to edit stories for
accuracy, balance, timeliness, and relevance . Strong proofreading skills with a keen eye for
clarity and conciseness . Ability to
translate complex medical language
into accessible content. Flexible and creative
mindset in a dynamic, competitive editorial environment. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree
in
English, Biology, or a relevant field . 5+ years of cardiology content experience . This
hybrid role
requires in-office presence on
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
in
Atlanta (preferred) or Newark (secondary option) . Seniority level
