Overview

Bilingual Marketing Assistant (Japanese and English) As a new team member of 33 USA Inc., you will take on the role of Bilingual Marketing Assistant. This role supports day-to-day execution across PR, social media, advertising, and events, while facilitating bilingual communication and documentation for internal and external stakeholders in entertainment-focused campaigns. Collaboration spans Los Angeles and Tokyo to ground deliverables in local culture and fan insights for cross-border promotions. Location: Los Angeles, CA area. Typical office environment with potential for occasional evenings or weekend work as necessary. Responsibilities and Duties

Interpretation duties: consecutive interpretation during internal meetings (e.g., sales meetings, all-hands); English-Japanese/Japanese-English interpretation for client meetings and business negotiations; summarize and share key points during meetings. Translation duties: translate various business documents including service materials, proposals, and reports; handle client communications via email and chat (including Slack); translate and localize internal documents (e.g., Notion, shared docs); ensure natural and appropriate expressions mindful of cultural background and honorifics. Communication support: convey background and intent beyond word-for-word translation; provide nuanced translation reflecting tone and emotion in both English and Japanese; respond to internal translation requests and conduct quality checks. Education and Experience Requirements

Required

Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English across speaking, reading, and writing for cross-border collaboration, translation, and documentation Strong interest in entertainment/anime and fan culture Proficiency with productivity suites (spreadsheets, slides, email) with strong task ownership, high accuracy, and deadline reliability Strong intercultural communication skills and professionalism to operate effectively with multi-office teams and external partners Desired

Internship or assistant experience in social media marketing or PR environments Exposure to ad ops support, social listening, media clipping, and basic performance reporting Event staffing or convention support experience; assistance on influencer/creator projects is advantageous Benefits
