Description MRB Group is a multi‑disciplined, high‑energy engineering, architecture and planning firm where creativity and innovation are valued. We are recruiting a Proposal Writer/Marketing Specialist in the Rochester, New York region to join our growing team. As a proposal writer, you will work with technical staff to create content and materials—proposals, reports and other collateral—to improve the firm’s competitive standing in new business efforts and support marketing initiatives. Responsibilities Communicate the firm’s professional qualifications and value through RFP responses. Support marketing and business development initiatives across regional offices. Manage the proposal process (go/no‑go decisions, proposal lifecycle tracking, and win/loss analysis). Enhance CRM usage; update and maintain the database of current projects, clients and opportunities. Prepare focused reports and design presentation content. Follow project control documents carefully. Develop marketing materials such as one‑pager and project profiles to showcase our service offerings. Maintain templated materials for all service offerings to ensure consistency and efficiency. Coordinate company participation in industry and community events. Position Requirements Skills / Knowledge Proficient in InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel and Outlook. Basic understanding of architecture, engineering and construction industry terminology and procedures preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good planning and strong organizational skills. Minimum 2 years of experience preparing complex proposals in response to RFP/Qs preferred but not required. Experience organizing teams and coordinating project management. Capable of multitasking in a deadline‑driven environment. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating attention to detail. The work environment will primarily be in‑office and may require work outside of normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed to meet deadlines.
