Job Summary The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our Marketing and Communications team. The Graphic Designer will play a key role in visually communicating the Kelley brand across a variety of platforms and materials, developing compelling visual assets for print and digital campaigns that support full funnel enrollment marketing efforts and effectively communicate the value of Kelley to a diverse range of audiences, with a primary focus on prospective students. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on design execution and works on projects that support both the Kelley Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses.
Responsibilities Member of the Content and Creative function, within the Kelley Marketing and Communications team, who guides the creation, delivery, and governance of useful, relevant content for Kelley and its stakeholders.
Reports to the Senior Graphic Designer.
Works closely with their creative and visual content colleagues, the Enrollment Marketing Strategy, Brand Strategy, and Digital and Web functions to develop integrated, brand-aligned content that delivers on desired outcomes.
Creates original and visually engaging designs for a wide range of media including print materials, digital platforms, and environmental graphics.
Designs assets that support the school\'s strategic initiatives such as enrollment marketing and brand reputation and awareness.
Develops and maintains reusable design templates and asset libraries that support efficient production and brand consistency.
Ensures all creative output aligns with the Kelley School of Business and Indiana University brand guidelines, tone, and visual identity standards.
Acts as a brand ambassador by providing design guidance and assisting with the application of brand elements across all media.
Works closely with cross-functional teams including enrollment marketing strategist, content specialists, visual content creators, social media managers, etc. to bring concepts to life.
Participates in project kick-off meetings and creative briefs to determine design goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Manages multiple concurrent projects with varying deadlines, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
Designs visuals optimized for various social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.) and ensure designs meet accessibility and responsive design standards.
Collaborates with digital and web teams to design graphics for email campaigns, newsletters, and web banners that support measurable engagement.
Prepares final press-ready files and liaise with printing vendors to ensure accurate production and quality control.
Reviews proofs, adjust as necessary, and ensure consistency between digital and printed outputs.
Maintains organized archives of design assets, project files, and final outputs to support team efficiency and historical reference.
Responsibilities (General) Identifies basic and complex graphic design projects and performs research, conceptualizes design, sets timeline, and designs visual elements for use in a variety of marketing and communications needs, adhering to IU brand guidelines.
Regularly consults with marketing and communications staff and other key stakeholders to determine project needs and ensure graphic design elements align with strategy and objectives.
Designs the layout and format for digital and print graphic design content, including selection of colors, images, fonts, logos, and placement, for various marketing and communications needs, audiences, and platforms; may delegate basic design tasks to Graphic Design Assistant(s).
Creates images, graphic elements, illustrations, and other visual content using a variety of graphic software, including Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint; takes on special and/or urgent projects.
Seeks input from peers and stakeholders on a variety of graphic design elements to evaluate effectiveness of different aesthetics, colors, fonts, images, etc.
May provide organizational training on graphic design methodology and strategy.
May provide guidance to Graphic Design Assistants.

Education Bachelor\'s degree in graphic design, art, or related field
Experience 2 years in relevant field

Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
