Director of Sales and Marketing

Location: Boston, MA, USA. Full-time, Permanent.

Job Description

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and management of all sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities, develop key partnerships, and ensure the hotel remains competitive.
  • Lead a team of sales and marketing professionals to create and execute initiatives that promote the hotel’s services, amenities, and unique value proposition.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to establish long-term business objectives, track performance metrics, and optimize the hotel’s overall market position.

Ownership and Commercial Strategy

  • Oversee commercial strategies for the new hotel and connect strategy with business processing.
  • Lead the development and implementation of short-term and long-term sales, events, and marketing strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Produce the hotel’s annual multi-year commercial strategy plan in partnership with on-property leaders and regional support.
  • Work with commercial leadership to ensure Group Pricing & Rate Quotation Strategies maximize pricing components and achieve positive market share.
  • Build and establish hotel B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, public relations, and communications channels with brand e-commerce teams.
  • Develop and execute departmental expense budget and forecasts.
  • Develop detailed real-time knowledge of all competitor and market activity.
  • Responsible for recruitment and retention of all sales and marketing roles and lead team development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in hotel sales.
  • Previous experience in full-service, upscale/luxury hotels.
  • Strong background selling rooms, F&B, catering, and meeting rooms.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of engagement with customers and stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
