Overview

Network Designer (Mid-Level or Senior) role at Boeing in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO. The position focuses on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) business, collaborating with IT Business Partners and BDS stakeholders to implement and maintain communications and network systems aligned with program goals. Responsibilities

Leads and performs the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for network LAN technologies and services (e.g., wireless, data, voice, video, cable, wire) based on customer goals, objectives, cost and security constraints, to guide the design process Collaborates with stakeholders (Transport, MAN/WAN, Structured Cabling, Project Manager, etc.) in focused, agile-inspired sprint teams Provides oversight and consultation of work intake processes, backlog and execution of requests, coordinating with IT Business Partners and Product Owners Creates and documents designs that conform to architectural and security standards using design templates and standard implementation packages Prepares, deploys, and coordinates installation of complex implementation packages per Boeing standards Provides Level 3 Incident/Problem Management support to meet service restoration and network availability objectives, using network analysis and monitoring tools Supports and participates in component research to provide input for more comprehensive evaluation Leads and performs implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects, using established project management methodologies to control costs and ensure adherence to project plans Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

3+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations 3+ years of experience with design, implementation and troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) 3+ years of experience utilizing TCP/IP network protocols Ability to support after-hours change windows and implementations Willing to cover on-call shifts, including weekends and after hours Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

5+ years of related work experience or equivalent education/experience Current CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco Certification Experience with COMSEC Experience with Arista networking Experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Experience with Cisco ISE Experience with Zero Trust Experience with MFA Experience with Comply to Connect Experience with NTP Experience with Palo Alto next generation firewall systems and Panorama Experience with IPSEC and GRE tunnel configurations Experience with Splunk Other Details

Boeing offers a Total Rewards package including competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities, plus a range of benefit programs (health insurance, HSAs/FSAs, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time away). Eligibility varies by location and other factors. Pay ranges are based on candidate experience, qualifications, market and business considerations.
