Marketing Job Description:
The Wealth & TD Premier product marketing team develops, implements and leads cross-functional marketing strategies that support the objectives of these key business segments. The team translates business strategies into marketing plans, understands market and growth drivers, develops value propositions and proof points, and creates multi-channel, integrated marketing strategies that touch on the marketing funnel. The Senior Group Manager will work with TD\'s Wealth and TD Premier divisions to develop and manage marketing strategies for customer acquisition and account management of wealth and TD Premier clients. Role Summary:
The Senior Group Manager, Wealth & Premier Marketing Planning leads a high performing team in the development and execution of Marketing strategy planning, annual portfolio planning, and informs business decisions. As a people manager, this role grows the Marketing professionals through feedback, performance reviews, coaching and development, ensuring performance management activities are undertaken. Depth & Scope: Provides people management leadership by hiring top talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling disciplinary actions as required Oversees and leads a large and/or complex portfolio, growing talent and capabilities to achieve business results Leads campaigns and oversight of marketing execution for all projects within the portfolio; ensures strategy execution, governance and stakeholder approvals Provides coaching, mentorship and guidance to practitioners, business and executives within area of expertise Sets strategy for the respective areas aligned to enterprise best practices Acts as strategic partner to leadership on portfolio and financial management, anticipating trends and identifying efficiencies Facilitates strategic discussions and provides thought leadership to executive audiences Sets operational direction and collaborates with others to achieve common goals Focuses on longer-range planning for the functional area (12 months or greater) Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required 10+ years relevant experience Advanced knowledge of multiple marketing disciplines, strategy development, banking industry, and product/customer markets Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations Ability to contribute to strategic direction and advise senior leadership Ability to forecast initiatives and demand for annual strategic planning Skill in managing budgets, P&L and resource allocation Advanced ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities Skill in talent development and performance management Strong judgment, negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions Analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting Proficiency with MS Office Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; able to work independently and as part of a team Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Preferred Skills: Wealth industry expertise Understanding of MarTech, triggers, journeys and data ecosystems to drive scale Customer Accountabilities: Customer insights & trends; coach team to interpret consumer trends and plan market research Builds and protects the brand; applies Brand House principles and understands end-to-end customer journeys Influences business strategy; provides thought leadership and fosters relationships with key partners Business marketing plan ownership; ensures transparency and evaluates marketing investment impact Integrated marketing campaigns; leadership of campaigns, budget allocations, media strategy and creative execution Shareholder Accountabilities: Collaborates with business leaders to develop plans and maximize efficiency and scale Plans and executes strategic activities; monitors results and adjusts tactics Manages budgets, revenue and expenditures to meet objectives Identifies opportunities and improves processes with medium to long-term impact Maintains risk management and regulatory compliance Ensures awareness of conduct standards and regulatory requirements Employee/Team Accountabilities: Develops strategic priorities and plans for their area Leads a team of marketers; provides leadership, feedback and performance development Sets team targets and drives results Builds a diverse, capable, high-performing team and acts as a brand ambassador Physical Requirements: Domestic Travel – Occasional International Travel – Never Sitting – Continuous Concentrating for long periods Reading, writing and comprehending instructions The above statements describe the general nature and level of work and are not an exhaustive list of responsibilities or skills.
