Manager, Program (Math Instructional Design & Coaching) Full-time, salaried position based in New York, NY. Reports to the Senior Manager, Program. Travel: on-site with some remote work. About Teaching Lab
Teaching Lab seeks to fundamentally shift the paradigm of teacher professional learning in pursuit of excellent educational outcomes for every child. We are a nonprofit organization partnering with teachers, schools, and districts to create instructional systems that support meaningful, life-long learning and improved student outcomes. Responsibilities
Implement excellent programmatic services through coaching, facilitation of professional learning, and collaboration with school and district leaders. Engage in coaching cycles, including observations, modeling, co-teaching, data analysis, and feedback. Design and facilitate high-quality professional learning content and resources grounded in research-based instructional practices. Maintain strong partner relationships, support contract renewals, and contribute to business development as needed. Support Teaching Lab systems, tools, and processes for scaling partnerships, monitoring impact, and ensuring effective implementation. Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Five (5) or more years combined experience in PK-12 education, with at least two years teaching PK-12 students from traditionally underserved backgrounds with demonstrated impact. Two (2) or more years combined experience working with partners outside of their organization to manage workflow or deliver services. Two (2) or more years of project planning and implementation experience. Two (2) or more years of experience leading or coaching the implementation of HQIM (in any subject area). Deep knowledge and experience with College- and Career-Ready math or ELA content and practice standards. Experience designing and delivering impactful professional learning for educators, and experience facilitating coaching for educators. Experience managing relationships with clients and stakeholders in an education context. Experience teaching or coaching one or more specified curricula (e.g., Math curricula such as Amplify Desmos, Carnegie Learning, EngageNY/EurekaMath, Illustrative Math, iReady, Zearn Math, etc.). Advanced degree. Deep understanding of the specified curriculum, including its design and components. Experience providing professional learning support in consultative organizations. Compensation and Benefits
The full salary range for this position is $80,000 - $121,007 annually. The anticipated hiring range is $80,000 - $105,529. Teaching Lab generally caps salaries for new employees at 105% of the midpoint of the full salary range ($105,529) to allow for growth over time. Other Details
