Job Summary

The Director of Communications leads all internal and external corporate communications initiatives for Americas Building Products. In this role, the Director will leverage her/his expertise to develop and implement a communications strategy that encompasses two integral platforms within ABP – infrastructure products and outdoor living. This role is critical to shaping our brand voice, engaging employees, and supporting executive leadership with high-impact messaging. The candidate should be a keen strategist and skilled tactician with expertise in organizational communications, employee engagement, change management communications, executive/management level communications, media relations, and thought leadership. The Director will execute the communications strategy with a small, experienced team and partner with all levels within the organization to achieve maximum results. Note:

This role will be based at corporate office in the Perimeter area of Atlanta, GA Job Responsibilities

Strategic Communications : Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that support business goals, manage media relations, and ensure brand consistency across all channels. Executive & Leadership Support : Craft compelling communications for senior leaders, including announcements, speeches, video scripts, and presentations. Provide strategic counsel on major initiatives such as M&A, organizational changes, and business milestones. Employee Engagement : Develop and lead inclusive communication efforts that foster collaboration and connection—covering company news, team highlights, HR updates, community outreach, and talent development. Group Corporate Communications Support : Manage and coordinate content and assets that align with group corporate communications initiatives. Brand & Messaging Alignment : Maintain a unified employee brand identity and messaging hierarchy. Ensure all communications reflect the company’s culture, vision, and values. Crisis & Change Management : Develop and maintain a crisis communications plan. Deliver clear, timely messaging on change initiatives, leadership updates, and business developments. Digital & Social Media : Execute campaigns across digital platforms including intranet, email, digital signage, video, and social media. Media Relations : Organize and manage media interviews, prepare spokespersons, and serve as company spokesperson when needed. Performance Metrics : Establish and track communication KPIs to measure effectiveness and business impact. Team Leadership : Oversee the communications function, including budgeting, staffing, and performance management. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with marketing and other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging. Travel : Approximately 25% Other duties as assigned Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field required Excellent writing skills 15+ years’ experience in a strategic management/communications-related role 5+ years management experience Demonstrated success developing and implementing impactful internal and external communications programs Proven experience providing strategic counsel and guidance to executive leadership team members Solid judgment / temperament in dealing with confidential and sensitive information and issues What CRH Offers You
