Overview

CyLogic is seeking a senior marketing professional to shape and drive our presence in the federal and defense sectors. In this role, you’ll define high-impact strategies that generate qualified leads, strengthen our market position, and elevate CyLogic’s brand among defense agencies. You’ll design and execute campaigns that attract and educate target audiences, translate complex technology into mission-driven value, and amplify our voice across key industry channels. This is an opportunity for a seasoned marketing strategist who combines big-picture vision with startup agility, someone ready to build influence and deliver measurable growth in the public sector cloud space.

Responsibilities

Design and execute targeted lead generation campaigns for defense sector prospects across digital, content, event, and partner marketing channels.

Develop and manage a campaign calendar focused on audience segmentation, demand generation, and content workflows that support sales-qualified leads.

Define clear MBOs to assess program success, including lead quality, campaign effectiveness, and brand reach.

Prepare program budget, allocating resources for maximum campaign impact and ROI.

Messaging & Market Positioning

Craft and evolve sector-specific messaging that reflects the unique missions, challenges, and procurement considerations of defense agencies.

Translate technical offerings into value-driven narratives that resonate with public sector stakeholders.

Manage public relations messaging and thought leadership in collaboration with internal and external partners.

Sales Alignment & Field Support

Collaborate with the sales team to ensure marketing deliverables (content, event programming, lead insights) are well-aligned with sales cycles but stop short of sales execution.

Provide account insights, industry trends, and partnership opportunities that inform sales strategies.

Create structured playbooks and frameworks that allow the sales team to execute more effectively.

Events, Partnerships & Ecosystem Amplification

Identify and manage marketing presence at industry events, webinars, and defense technology summits.

Shape conceptual strategies for co-marketing partnerships with OEMs and GSIs, including VMware-aligned alliances, without assuming execution responsibilities.

Brand & Communications

Serve as a brand steward within the defense sector, ensuring message consistency and differentiation.

Lead efforts around public relations, analyst engagement, and customer story development, reinforcing CyLogic’s credibility and leadership in secure cloud.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Core Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; Master’s a plus.

7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years focused on public sector or defense-related roles.

Demonstrated success in designing marketing campaigns and messaging frameworks in highly regulated environments.

Experience with startups or early-stage companies preferred; ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving teams.

Strong understanding of public sector procurement cycles, government buyer behavior, and defense mission environments.

Knowledge of VMware technology ecosystems is a significant plus.

Proven expertise in marketing planning, content development, event marketing, and field support.

Excellent collaboration, writing, and stakeholder management skills.
