The Communications Lead is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the organization’s internal and external communications strategy. This role ensures consistent messaging that advances the mission, engages stakeholders, and strengthens the organization’s reputation in the community it serves. Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive communications and brand strategy aligned with organizational goals. Create annual communications plans, including measurable objectives. Lead the creation of written, digital, and multimedia content for newsletters, reports, press releases, social media, and the website. Ensure all messaging reflects the organization’s brand and values. Oversee the organization’s social media presence, growing engagement and reach. Ensure the website is up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with communications priorities. Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Track communications metrics (e.g., social engagement, email open rates, media coverage) and provide regular reports. Use data to refine strategies and demonstrate impact. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred). 5+ years of experience in communications, preferably in a nonprofit, government, or public health organization. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Experience managing digital platforms, social media, and website content. Experience in graphic design, video editing, or digital media tools. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners. Strong project management skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills

Knowledge of the relevant field (e.g., public health, education, food safety, or nonprofit sector). Experience working with government or international stakeholders. Additional information

Physical Factors/Working Conditions: Work is generally performed virtually with standard office equipment available. Employee will need to provide a dedicated private workspace including the high-speed internet. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing, walking, and light lifting. Included is exposure to a wide range of travel conditions (walking, lifting, driving, riding in vehicles, hotel stays, weather conditions).
