Event Sales & Marketing Manager BEAT THE BOMB is the next generation of immersive group entertainment, where customers step into real‑life video games. We use an innovative digital, interactive game system to reimagine the intersection of technology and human social connection. In our classic Mission experience, teams wearing hazmat suits go through a series of interactive game rooms, including a laser maze, before facing the World's Largest Paint, Slime, and Foam Bomb! Our original Brooklyn location opened in 2018. We now have locations in Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Charlotte, Houston, and Denver. We've hosted over 500,000 players including hundreds of corporate team‑building outings, school groups, and non‑profit organizations. Beat The Bomb is one of the highest rated experiences in all 5 markets. We offer a full range of special event services including STEM Camps, Kid and Adult Birthday parties, Corporate Tournaments, and Bachelorette parties. We also have a virtual team building platform called Beat The Bomb Virtual, serving remote teams across the globe. Our #1 goal is to ensure every player has a BLAST!

Set to open in the bustling York Street Yards, this will be Beat The Bomb's 7th location, launching in March 2025. This location features our signature Mission experiences, complete with glass‑walled bomb rooms where teams face challenges involving Paint, Foam, and Slime. Location offers our classic Mission experiences with glass‑walled bomb rooms blasting teams with Paint, Foam, and Slime; 4 immersive arcade lounges ('Game Bays'); street food and a full selection of beer, wine, cocktails & signature slushies @ The Bomb Bar; a beer garden with sports viewing options and dedicated private event spaces for large groups make this an ideal venue for entertainment. We're assembling a world‑class team to introduce this location as part of an exciting and rapidly expanding entertainment brand. Get ready to #GETBLASTED!

Job Description Pay - Base Salary of $55k-$65k + Commission. Targeting $90k-$110k All In.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Drive qualified leads for corporate events, school / camp field trips, charity events, etc. Clearly weekly and monthly lead generation goals

Networking incessantly with local businesses, industry organizations, educators and more!

Plan and execute networking & community building events for local business leaders, teachers, etc. to create awareness

Represent Beat The Bomb at major networking events through ACVB, Chamber of Commerce and work to host events at Beat The Bomb for increased visibility

Partner with hotels and convention centers to promote Beat The Bomb to traveling corporate groups or tour groups

Build relationships with universities, student groups, Greek organizations

Work with Sales Director on building long‑term relationships and 'memberships' with large organizations to drive repeat business and larger 'annual contracts' (Home Depot, Chik Fil a)

Provide excellent customer service to clients, from initial inquiry through menu & event development, and negotiations

Respond to inquiries and leads via phone and email, ensuring all clients receive initial replies in an enthusiastic and timely manner

Maximize revenue for each event by offering comprehensive packages and upsell items in a thoughtful and compelling manner

Work with clients to gather all necessary information to ensure that you sell them on the appropriate experience

Process correspondence (internal & external), proposals, contracts, payments and BEOs accurately and in a timely manner

Support additional local marketing efforts such as local partnerships, influencer marketing, flyering and other 'guerrilla' marketing tactics

Network in the STEM, non profit space to drive school and camp field trip business

Support GM and Event Coordinator in hosting large events on site and providing tours to prospective clients

Marketing Responsibilities (20%)

Collaborate with HQ Marketing Director on overall local marketing strategy and execution

Develop marketing calendar based on local school calendar and local cultural events and trends

Support on localizing creative for email marketing, social media, local content and advertising

Support PR agency to organize press visits, tours and other activations

Work with Marketing Director and media agency to identify OOH media buys or barter opportunities and support execution of local activations (billboards, radio, local publications, etc.)

Work with influencer agency to source and host influencers and execute influencer events

Develop local marketing partnerships with local businesses (breweries, hotels, etc.)

Work with operations and marketing to develop and promote unique programming - happy hours, trivia nights, singles nights, competitive tournaments, etc.

Organize flyering / street team events with operations team

Identify and execute local activation opportunities - conferences, festivals (i.e. Dragon Con)

Work with Marketing director on venue marketing collateral (flyers, rack cards, posters, digital signage, table tents, F&B specials, loyalty program promotion) along with promotions, giveaways

Champion Employee Sales Referral Program

Support Beat The Bomb charity initiatives

Qualifications

5-7 years of Marketing and Sales experience, ideally with specific experience in hospitality / live entertainment. Event Sales experience a major plus

Line Management experience a plus

5-days a week - mostly weekdays but with flexibility to work evenings (attending networking events, etc.) and periodically weekends for major events or outside marketing activations

Ability to engage during evenings / off hours if necessary to support escalated issues

Outgoing extrovert who is not shy about networking or negotiations

Independent thinker who will leave no stone unturned

Highly self-motivated and hardworking with a hunger to learn, grow & win every day

Highly organized in managing projects, leads, follow up

Exceptional communication and networking skills

Believes in and lives by the Beat The Bomb Values : Bring positivity, take responsibility, build the future, create the FUN

Comfortable with software platforms - familiarity with GSuite + Tripleseat are a plus
