Overview
Marketing Transformation Initiatives, Manager at Charles Schwab. This role is part of Schwab’s Workplace Marketing organization, on the Strategy, Planning, and Transformation team. The team focuses on transforming the marketing organization to be more effective and efficient, collaborating with groups across the firm to scale work in support of business growth. The selected candidate is expected to work on site in the specified location(s) and be in the office 4 days a week. What you’ll do
Plan and orchestrate multiple strategic marketing programs, building detailed project plans with timelines, deliverables, and resource requests. Manage program progress and artifacts, identifying risks, and escalating issues to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. Facilitate stakeholder meetings that encourage cross-team collaboration while delivering the right outcome for clients. Conduct research, analyses, and stakeholder interviews to develop and shape a strategic perspective on transformation opportunities in marketing. Be curious, intimately understanding the work our organization does to identify root causes and make convincing recommendations to solve problems for our team. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; experience in marketing is highly preferred. 5+ years of experience in transformational projects, consulting, strategy, marketing agency, and/or program management roles. Excellent storytelling and communication skills through PowerPoint presentations that are clear, concise, and compelling. Foundational Excel skills to enable data collection, organization, and analysis. Knowledge of marketing organizations, marketing best practices, and marketing technology (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo); financial services industry experience is a plus. A strategic mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, shape project scope, and influence multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment while introducing structure and frameworks for problem-solving. A highly collaborative approach to project management with the ability to work across multiple teams in a matrixed organization. Active listener who can synthesize many details and is not afraid to “go into the weeds” to solve problems. Self-starter mindset with a willingness to jump in and learn, make quick decisions, and pivot towards better solutions when needed.
