Overview
Advertising Specialist role involving strategy, coordination, and execution of on-property marketing communications and signage for JACK Entertainment.
Essential Functions
- Print Signage: flyers, tent cards, inserts, slot toppers, posters, entrance signs, duratrans, wayfinder directionals, window wraps, placemats, stickers, etc.
- Digital signage including website, TV monitors on the gaming floor, and the MOAS Sign on the exterior of the property and offsite venues/partners.
- Internal FOH/BOH Digital Content: oversee the content creation and deployment of all FOH and BOH digital messaging on internal channels and external digital pylon signage.
- Check daily all in-house signage and brochure racks for outdated or damaged signs; replace information as needed. Complete work orders/signage requests for changes or replacements. Inform other departments if their signs are damaged or need replacement.
- Marketing/Advertising Liaison: act as primary liaison between requesting departments and advertising/marketing. Identify challenges and needs, outline materials required, and initiate development and installation of interior/exterior signage. Collaborate with the home office to route work requests and determine if tasks can be accomplished at the property level; may involve collaboration with multiple casino departments.
- Miscellaneous: capital and construction project signage and supporting materials for all areas on property related to promotions, marketing, special events, food and beverage, human resources, VLT games, sportsbook, and more.
Supporting Promotions Functions
- Assist the Marketing Operations Manager and team in executing promotions and marketing initiatives.
- Oversee creation of promotional pieces, coupons, and certificates for events; communicate with departments involved, Compliance, and Accounting.
- Assist in creating in-house coupons and keep relevant departments informed on coupons in circulation.
- Assist with preparation, execution and breakdown of promotions and events on and off property.
- Provide information to enable department evaluation of event success via recap reports.
- Be licensed and authorized to obtain cash and gift cards from the cage and distribute promotional prize money on the gaming floor.
- Know rules and procedures for all promotions and events; notify Marketing Operations Manager of violations to be corrected.
- Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Operations Manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work independently with excellent guest service skills and a positive public image.
- Clear, accurate, concise communication, both oral and written.
- Analytical problem solving and sound judgment under demanding situations.
- Technical understanding of the gaming industry, including table games, slots, and the Loyalty Program.
- Ability to understand and comply with all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in a regulated business environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teammates.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods (4 hours); lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.
- Ability to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays; tolerate dusty, loud, and bright environments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines; working knowledge of Microsoft Office; teamwork capability.
- English reading/writing/speaking proficiency.
Education And Experience
- Marketing, Business or Advertising degree preferred.
- 2+ years of work experience in marketing, advertising, or related field.
- Creative design background with tools such as Canva Pro, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and other design tools.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Required Certification/License
- Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio.
