Overview
Job Title: PLM Product Manager (Fashion & Apparel)
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day use of Centric PLM across Design, Product Development, and Technical Design teams.
- Collaborate with team leaders to streamline seasonal workflows, ensure accurate data setup, and maintain consistency across collections.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend PLM-driven improvements that enhance team productivity and visibility.
- Partner with IT to communicate business requirements, test updates, and track configuration/enhancement requests.
- Oversee seasonal setup, data rollovers, and product record accuracy (styles/designs, materials, colorways, BOMs).
- Act as the primary liaison between creative, technical and support teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable PLM requirements.
- Facilitate PLM review sessions to address user issues, align priorities, and promote best practices.
- Ensure standardized workflows and consistent data across all stages of product development.
- Develop and deliver PLM training sessions for new and existing users.
- Create process documentation, quick-reference materials, and best practice guidelines as needed.
- Promote user accountability and adoption across all design and development functions.
- Track and report on key PLM metrics such as style/design creation accuracy, milestone completion, adoption rate and development cycle times.
- Provide leadership with visibility into PLM usage and data trends to support better business decisions.
- Ensure PLM data aligns with related systems (e.g., ERP, reporting tools, etc.) where applicable.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed digital product creation workflows into the overall product lifecycle.
- Support adoption of DPC practices by guiding teams through process changes, training, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with design, development, and merchandising to ensure DPC enhances creativity, speed, and sustainability goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production or related field preferred.
- Experience with Centric PLM in a fashion, apparel or similar environment.
- Experience with DPC (digital product creation).
- Strong understanding of design and product development workflows and calendar management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge creative and technical teams.
- Strong organizational and data management capabilities.
- Experience supporting multiple product categories or brands.
- Exposure to workflow documentation, user adoption initiatives, or process mapping.
- Strong focus on design-to-development efficiency.
- Skilled communicator who can articulate system needs and user feedback.
- Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver.
- Collaborative and adaptable in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Salary
Salary $90,000-$130,000
