Shift schedule and hours

  • 2-2-3 shift schedule: Work Mon & Tue; Off Wed & Thu; Work Fri–Sun
  • Alternate: Off Mon & Tue; Work Wed & Thu; Off Fri–Sun
  • 12-hour static shifts (Nights 6:00pm–6:00am; Days 6:00am–6:00pm)

Compensation

  • Starting wage up to $23.50 depending on experience
  • Night shift differential: $2.50

What we need from you

You will be responsible for the operation and output of assigned production lines which include but are not limited to:

  • Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the training curriculum as an operator learning aspects of plastic extrusion line operations while completing assigned duties required for certification
  • Change plastic extruding machine, set up according to production line changes following specifications on work orders, and examine products for nonconformance to specifications
  • Responsible for monitoring quality and accuracy of the line and scrap
  • Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment
  • Set up plastic extrusion machines (shutdown, start-up, switchovers, order preparation, and production, of plastic extrusion lines)
  • Responsible for raw materials (resin) by keeping extruder fed with resin mixture
  • Maintain good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers
  • Provide assistance to co-workers to expedite changeovers

  • Ensure safety and health considerations are primary in all activities
  • Follow company guidelines and actively participate in safety processes
  • Maintain housekeeping and professional conduct
  • Identify and report near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors
  • Produce quality materials for customers
  • Maintain production volume and efficiency
  • Identify changes and suggest better methods
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues; request supervisor assistance when needed

Basic qualifications

  • 3+ years in manufacturing, technical field, or engineering
  • Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or technical certification can substitute for up to 3 years of experience
  • Ability to work with measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
  • Strong technical/mechanical aptitude
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, pull and lift during a 12-hour shift (lift up to 65 lbs)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Focus on safety and quality production
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Team members regularly stand on a cement production floor for long shifts; must be able to lift up to 65 pounds; climb stairs; work around hot surfaces and rotating equipment
  • Frequent talking and hearing; eyesight requirements include near/far/peripheral/depth perception; temperature/humidity changes up to near 100°F
