Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Music Teacher, located in Gaithersburg, MD. The Music Teacher will be responsible for providing individual and group music lessons, preparing students for performance opportunities, and fostering a love for music. Tasks include teaching music theory and performance, organizing and leading band rehearsals and jam sessions, and conducting recording sessions. The teacher will also be involved in coordinating and participating in public concerts and student performances.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Music Theory and Music Education
• Proficiency in Music Performance and skills on at least 2-3 instruments
• Experience and passion for teaching music to a diverse age group of students
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in organizing and leading group music activities and performances
• Bachelor\'s degree in Music or related field is preferred
