Overview Bach to Rock (B2R) is a music school for students of all ages, using a unique method that blends individual lessons with band instruction. B2R's philosophy is that students learn best when playing the music they enjoy. The school offers weekly private, group, and Rock Band sessions, Battle of the Bands, recording sessions in B2R Studios, and public concerts. These activities foster teamwork and build self-esteem while motivating students to practice independently, having fun, and becoming skilled musicians. Role Description This is a part-time on-site role for a Music Teacher, located in Gaithersburg, MD. The Music Teacher will be responsible for providing individual and group music lessons, preparing students for performance opportunities, and fostering a love for music. Tasks include teaching music theory and performance, organizing and leading band rehearsals and jam sessions, and conducting recording sessions. The teacher will also be involved in coordinating and participating in public concerts and student performances. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Music Theory and Music Education Proficiency in Music Performance and skills on at least 2-3 instruments Experience and passion for teaching music to a diverse age group of students Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in organizing and leading group music activities and performances Bachelor\'s degree in Music or related field is preferred Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Education and Training Industries Primary and Secondary Education #J-18808-Ljbffr
