Manager 3, Marketing – Field Marketing (Experiential & Local)
Intuit’s Consumer Group (CG), a team serving the needs of over 40+ million US consumers for annual tax returns, is seeking a Group Marketing Manager to develop a unified go‑to‑market strategy for experiential and grassroots campaigns supporting TurboTax’s local activation strategy. The role focuses on creating and executing local marketing initiatives that promote TurboTax’s new 500+ retail store presence, deliver on the overall local marketing strategy, and meet fiscal year forecast targets. The manager will oversee strategy planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing activities aimed at increasing in‑person engagement at our locations. Responsibilities
Lead Field Marketing Strategy: set vision, roadmap and priorities for Field Marketing, focusing on programs that drive growth, engagement, and long‑term value for TurboTax. Lead AOR and Field Marketing Team: manage and support the Field Marketing AOR in developing strategic media plans and Go‑to‑Market Campaign Planning; leverage consumer/market insights and media trends to create hypothesis‑driven strategies and GTM tactics that deliver on business objectives. Drive cross‑functional collaboration: partner closely with Business and Channel leads to ensure integrated strategy across teams and alignment with the overall plan. Analysis & Optimization: monitor and track business results, report insights regularly to senior leadership, provide media recommendations, and capture learnings for mid‑ and end‑season reporting. Competitive/Market Analysis: track competitive local creative messaging and media activity, draw implications for business strategy, establish contingency and action plans, and assess the impact of competitive intelligence on broader business plans. Budget Management & Forecasting: collaborate with analytics and finance to support performance forecasting and results attribution. Lead with Innovation: stay ahead of trends, platforms and community behaviors; identify new opportunities to drive cultural relevance and differentiate TurboTax. Qualifications
10+ years of strategic leadership experience in local channel marketing or agency/consulting, with a focus on experiential and grassroots strategy; proven success in leading brands with high impact results. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field. Demonstrated success planning and executing local events that drive foot traffic. Strong ability to engage media agencies and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop strategic plans and insights. Deep understanding of hyperlocal digital marketing tools and offline promotional tactics. Exceptional project‑management and organizational skills. Collaboration and partnership skills with internal teams and external partners. "Test & Learn" mindset with a track record of innovation and translating customer insights into tangible marketing outcomes. Strong prioritization and organizational capabilities necessary to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a highly matrixed, distributed, and fast‑moving environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends for events as required. Familiarity with CRM platforms, foot‑traffic analytics tools, and social media ad managers. Willingness to travel for industry networking, media conferences, and related events. Hybrid role: 3 days in office per week. Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with strong pay‑for‑performance rewards, including cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits. Salary ranges for this position are $213,500–$298,000 for Bay Area, CA and $203,500–$275,500 for Southern California, CA.
