Job Description FamilySearch International, the largest genealogy organization in the world, is looking for an experienced and passionate marketer and leader with talents in multiple marketing disciplines and specific expertise in content marketing. This person will join the global marketing team managing multiple marketing functions to drive awareness and engagement with FamilySearch and its products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content marketing, integrated marketing, audience understanding, brand building, and nurturing various customer segments through delivering effective content at key touchpoints. The ideal candidate will also have strong people leadership experience and have led multiple aspects of marketing to successfully deliver on company objectives.

Responsibilities

Content channel management – Lead and optimize blog, social media and public relations channels.

Content strategy and messaging planning – Lead FamilySearch in optimizing its approach to content strategy. Lead FamilySearch annual messaging, quarterly themes, and content calendar.

Audience segment content and marketing strategy – Develop and execute content and marketing strategies for specific key audience segments.

On-brand communications and multi-channel messaging – Deploy writers as needed to various teams to ensure excellence of the communications produced (videos, emails, website, etc.). Conduct communications reviews of key assets to ensure alignment with brand. Lead efforts to implement consistency of multi-channel, integrated messaging.

Leadership and team development – Nurture and mentor individuals and teams to increase effectiveness.

General marketing – As a member of the marketing leadership team, contribute to overall strategy development and execution as needed.

Qualifications Required:

12 years of experience in managing content marketing and integrated marketing campaigns.

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, or public relations. Master’s degree preferred.

Passionate about being part of a high-functioning team that works hard and achieves high standards.

Demonstrated ability to understand audiences and create communications and marketing strategies to engage them.

Experience managing and optimizing blogs, social media channels and other content-heavy marketing channels.

Excellent written communication and storytelling skills. Ability to write for both consumer and professional audiences.

Ability to create compelling video, digital and print assets working with agencies.

Experience analyzing data, reporting on and optimizing results.

Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional teams to achieve remarkable outcomes.

Senior‑level experience across multiple marketing functions and ability to lead and execute as a general marketing contributor.

Ability to influence and lead effectively at all levels of the organization.

Excellent collaborator and team player.

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints and currently temple worthy.

Preferred

Demonstrated experience with successful change management.

Preference given to those with program management experience.
