The role will be fully in the office to design a variety of work orders focused on Power and Electrical Distribution projects. The position utilizes client-specific software and offers full training. This company offers room for growth with exposure to different projects and teams. This is a long-term, stable opportunity.
Required Skills and Experience
Associates or bachelor\'s in an engineering-related field (Engineering Technology, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Geography, Construction Management, etc) OR 1+ years of experience within CAD design or utilities
Ability to sit onsite
Great customer service skills
Adaptability to changing client priorities
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Utilities, Electrical, or Power Distribution experience
CAD design experience
Key Responsibilities
Learn and promote safety policies and procedures.
Apply various codes, regulations, and procedures to assigned work.
Develop skills for job-site visits and interactions with construction personnel.
Use design software and work management tools.
Prepare project packages including material lists, labor estimates, and construction drawings.
Evaluate loading on distribution equipment like transformers and fusing.
Learn utility construction practices on public and private land.
Communicate job status to meet client expectations.
Build relationships with internal and external customers.
Maintain organized files and records.
Mentor under experienced personnel and management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
