Overview
Job Title: Mechanical/CAD Designer
Job Type: Onsite, Direct Hire
Location: Topeka, KS
Salary Range: 50,000-80,000 (potentially negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Interview Process: 1 virtual interview, final interview onsite
Responsibilities:
- Create precise 3D models and shop drawings based on design inputs or third-party drawings
- Develop plans, sections, and details from 3D models or architectural documents for medium to large-scale projects
- Prepare production drawings with clear annotation and dimensioning, following company standards
- Manage drawing sets, revisions, and markups for each project
- Translate and plot drawings into other file formats or printed outputs
- Produce 3D visuals or renderings as needed for internal or marketing use
Qualifications:
- Proficient in 3D modeling software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD Inventor
- Experience with 2D drafting using AutoCAD
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing priorities and deadlines
- Capable of interpreting and generating technical documents and engineering drawings
- Able to effectively communicate technical information, address challenges, and support project needs
