Overview The Wisconsin Client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Technical writer to support its Bureau of Correctional Enterprises (BCE) — the prison industries division utilizing Oracle NetSuite ERP for manufacturing and ecommerce operations across 13 institutions statewide. This position is 100% remote, but candidates must report to the client Central Office in Madison, WI on their first day for onboarding and may occasionally be required to visit Madison or institutional sites for business analysis and project work.
Top Required Skills
4–5 years of Business Analyst experience
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
3–5 years supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing setting
3–4 years working closely with technical teams to explain business requirements
Nice-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite ERP
2–3 years of experience as a technical writer
Key Responsibilities
Gather and document business requirements and processes for BCE projects
Collaborate with technical resources to design, implement, and test solutions
Document workflows, procedures, and end-user documentation
Conduct testing (UAT, regression, upgrades, and customizations)
Engage with users to troubleshoot and resolve application issues
Support ERP system improvements and change management efforts
Create Visio flow diagrams and process documentation
Preferred Experience
Agile and system development environments
Government or correctional sector projects
Familiarity with manufacturing operations and change management systems
Hands‑on experience with JIRA and UAT execution
Ability to work across cross‑functional teams
Strong documentation practices and attention to detail
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Subject to background check, fingerprinting, and possible pre‑employment drug screening
