Job Description The Brand Designer role is all about creating thoughtful, story‑driven identities for our clients. You’ll lead brand projects from kickoff to concept to completion, working directly with clients to understand their vision and turn it into something timeless and impactful.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Design and Project Management teams alongside other departments to deliver work that looks great, functions well, and stands up to real‑world use.
Compensation Competitive compensation depending on experience. This is a 6‑month role to cover a parental leave period.
Key Responsibilities Daily / Weekly
Lead client kickoff meetings to understand goals and align on creative direction
Develop and refine brand concepts, including logos, color palettes, and visual systems
Present brand concepts and revisions to clients and internal teams
Create print and digital collateral such as signage, ads, and supporting brand assets
Manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines with consistent quality
Collaborate with designers, web designers, and project managers to ensure alignment
Provide the design team with peer review, offering and receiving constructive feedback
Meet weekly with your manager to talk through wins, challenges, and how to stay supported and moving forward
Monthly
Support onboarding and share knowledge with new team members
Review and refine design deliverables to maintain brand consistency
Attend team meetings and contribute to creative discussions
Participate in design trainings and apply coaching skills to support team development
Quarterly
Support department initiatives and cross‑team collaborations
Identify areas for creative or process improvement within the design workflow
Participate in quarterly performance evaluations and goal‑setting sessions
Contribute to larger branding or internal creative projects
Attendance of quarterly business update meetings
Essential Functions
Project Execution: Drive projects forward both internally and externally, including branding, website development, creative collateral, and multimedia production.
Time Management & Prioritization: Effectively allocate time to complete tasks and drive projects to completion.
Primary Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients and maintain regular communication.
Client Retention & Growth: Field client questions, troubleshoot issues, and develop long‑term client relationships.
Quality Standards: Ensure all deliverables meet Wonderist’s high standards and client expectations.
Creative Guidance: Provide direction and feedback to maintain brand consistency and marketing effectiveness.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Resolve challenges with internal teams and support company‑wide objectives.
