Why this role exists Insurify is scaling from high‑growth startup to household brand. We need a leading storyteller to shape our narrative, safeguard our reputation, and amplify our voice with consumers, carriers, employees, and regulators worldwide. This is a hybrid position that requires candidates to be able to come into our Cambridge, MA office.
What you’ll own
Brand & narrative strategy
– define the corporate story, collaborate on key messages, visual identity across earned, owned, and paid channels.
Global media relations
– cultivate tier‑one press and trade relationships; land thought‑leadership and product coverage that boosts brand salience and SEO.
Executive communications
– craft speeches, op‑eds, investor decks, and social presence for C‑suite; prep spokespeople for broadcast and conference stages.
Issues & crisis management
– build a 24/7 playbook for data breaches, regulatory scrutiny, and consumer complaints; run simulations that keep the org battle‑ready.
Internal communications & culture
– drive cadence of all‑hands, intranet, and video town‑halls that keep 350+ teammates informed and inspired.
Social & content publishing
– collaborate on channel mix, editorial calendar, and strategic influencer partnerships to reach shoppers where they research insurance.
Measurement & optimization
– implement dashboards that link share‑of‑voice, sentiment, and NPS to acquisition KPIs; iterate campaigns via test‑and‑learn.
Team leadership
– cross‑functional to start, help leadership instill a high‑ownership, data‑driven culture.
Who you are
10+ years leading communications for high‑visibility consumer tech or marketplace brands, progressing from agency account lead to in‑house leadership posts.
Track record shepherding companies through hyper growth, multi‑region launches, M&A, IPO‑readiness, and public investor relations without reputational missteps.
Deep relationships with business, tech, and consumer lifestyle media; fluent in shaping coverage that converts users and attracts partners.
Crisis‑tested judgment and mastery of stakeholder mapping, narrative framing, and fast‑cycle approvals.
Experience integrating PR, social, influencer, and content teams under one holistic strategy, backed by metrics (Analytics, Sprout, Meltwater, Brandwatch, or similar).
Inspiring people leader who attracts, mentors, and retains top talent while collaborating tightly with Marketing, Legal, People, and Product.
BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, or related field; global exposure and agency pedigree strongly preferred.
