Senior Director, Artificial Intelligence Transformation, Global Marketing Services
Visa is searching for a visionary Senior Director of Global Marketing Services to lead a massive transformation that embraces the power of Artificial Intelligence to drive operational excellence and enhance many of our tools, processes, and systems worldwide. This leader will ensure the successful design, deployment, adoption, measurement, and ongoing optimization of multiple AI tools, enabling the worldwide Marketing Services Team to work more efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all AI initiatives for Marketing Services, overseeing strategy, execution, milestone tracking, and performance measurement.
Partner with Digital Experiences & Capabilities, Technology, Legal, and Regional & Local Marketing Services teams to ensure alignment, resource allocation, and delivery of capabilities.
Enable and empower Marketing Services AI Ambassadors to pilot new capabilities, provide feedback, and champion adoption.
Drive the adoption of AI tools and new ways of working within Marketing Services, collaborating with Digital Experiences on communications and training.
Develop and deliver executive-level AI presentations, readouts, and recommendations to senior stakeholders, highlighting progress, impacts, risks, and opportunities.
Work with Legal to ensure all AI initiatives comply with regulatory and company standards for smooth rollout.
Serve as the voice of Marketing Services across enterprise-wide projects focused on simplifying tools, processes, and systems; architect and implement transformation plans.
Build and execute robust training and change management plans to support new tools, processes, and capabilities.
Partner to support new strategic initiatives as business needs arise.
Basic Qualifications
12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 10+ years with an advanced degree (Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 5+ years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
15+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12+ years with an advanced degree; PhD with 9+ years of experience.
Demonstrated mastery and hands‑on experience with a wide range of AI tools and platforms.
Proven experience in payments, program management, and marketing technology.
Track record of leading complex, cross‑functional programs with measurable business impact.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Executive‑level communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Experience in fast‑paced, matrixed environments and driving change management and technology adoption.
Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive complex projects with stakeholders.
Visionary leadership coupled with hands‑on execution and excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong relationship‑building experience across regions and business units.
Location Visa San Francisco Office, Mission Rock. Hybrid: office three days per week (Tues–Thurs) with 50% time in office; remote work allowed.
Work Hours Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements 10–15% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements Performed in an office setting; requires sitting, standing at desk, use of computers and phones.
