Qualifications
A PhD, MA, or MFA in Media Production, or Mass Communication, or Film/Video Production, or a related field is required. Foreign equivalent degree from a nationally accredited institution accepted. Professional background in areas such as: film/media production, strategic communication, or other comparable professional experience in media industries.

To be eligible for employment, applicants who are members of the Church must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend and receive a clearance from the Church’s Ecclesiastical Clearance Office.
Responsibilities
Teaching requirement is typically 30 semester credit hours per year over three semesters in some (but not all) of the following subject areas/courses: Strategic Communication, Multimedia Production, Film/Video Production, and courses based on the candidate's field of experience.
Scholarship, creative endeavor, ongoing professional development, and university service are required.
BYU-Hawaii’s primary focus is undergraduate learning and teaching. The individual should be fully committed to the university’s mission and learning framework.
Benefits
Salary range: 104 K to 124 K, depending on credentials, academic rank and experience.
Housing stipend.
A relocation expense package is provided.
Annually renewable contract eligible for Continuing Faculty Status (BYU-H equivalent of “tenure-track”).
Standard BYU-Hawaii benefits package for regular full-time employees.
