Title UI/UX Designer – Integrated Device Systems

Responsibilities

Design intuitive and user‑centered

UI/UX for integrated physical devices

(e.g., handheld touchscreen or medical/industrial systems).

Create and maintain

wireframes, prototypes, and design systems

using

Figma .

Collaborate with Human Factors, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware interfaces.

Support

Formative and Summative usability testing , analyze findings, and drive design improvements.

Conduct

User FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)

and contribute to

Known Use Error Reports .

Ensure compliance with

usability and regulatory standards

(e.g., IEC 62366, FDA HFE).

Participate in

design reviews , user research, and risk mitigation activities throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

Typically has

3 to 5 years’ experience

in

UI/UX design

with a focus on

device‑integrated systems

(not limited to web or app design).

Proven

hands‑on experience

in designing interfaces for

embedded or touchscreen devices .

Strong expertise in

Figma

and modern design workflows.

Demonstrated understanding of

Human Factors Engineering (HFE)

principles and usability testing methods.

Experience with

Formative/Summative testing ,

User FMEA , and

Known Use Error documentation .

Familiar with

hardware‑software interface constraints

and

embedded UI optimization .

Excellent communication, presentation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

Background in

Medical Devices, Healthcare Systems , or

Industrial Equipment UI Design .

Exposure to

regulated environments

(FDA, ISO 14971, IEC 62366).

Experience supporting

end‑to‑end design lifecycle

from concept to validation.
