About the Role

As a Community Manager you will oversee the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. You will manage all phases of the operations, including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration & risk management, and ensure compliance with Asset’s policies, safety and fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Personnel Management – screen, hire, train, coach, guide, develop on‑site staff, complete weekly/daily schedules, address performance problems, promote harmony and quality job performance.
  • Financial Management – achieve the highest possible net operating income through cost control and revenue & leasing improvement; develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts, reconcile deposits, rent collections, and vendor invoices, ensure property close‑out and ownership financial reports are accurate.
  • Strategic Leasing Management – develop a yearly marketing plan, employ effective leasing techniques, handle resident complaints and requests, implement resident retention programs, show and lease prospective residents.
  • Administrative & Maintenance Management – maintain accurate reporting, head the emergency team, manage customer service and maintenance request turnaround, preserve property appearance, utilize resources economically, and direct maintenance, construction, and rehabilitation activities.

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or four‑year experience in the housing industry; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required, with knowledge of on‑site software functions.
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular communication, repetitive motions of wrists, hands, fingers; ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours (emergencies).
  • Regular standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving between work sites, including ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and confined spaces; ability to lift and place objects up to 25 lbs.; ability to operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or golf carts; work in various environmental conditions.

License / Equipment

  • Must have reliable transportation for the emergency on‑call requirement.

Salary Range

$65,000 – $72,000 per year

Full‑time position. Applied responsibilities, duties and requirements are subject to change by management. Eligible candidates are considered for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, accidental and disability insurance, a 401K with employer matching and performance bonuses.
