The Brand & Communications team builds trust and drives impact through creative campaigns and storytelling that bring Affirm’s mission to life. Social is a key channel for culture, community, and brand resonance.
What You’ll Do
- Be our cultural radar: Spot trends, creators, and conversations across TikTok, Reddit, and emerging platforms, and determine how Affirm should engage.
- Participate in real‑time moments, jumping into cultural dialogue with the right tone, speed, and creativity.
- Build community: Foster dialogue and connection, turning participation into trust and loyalty.
- Bring campaigns to life: Partner with Communications, Brand, and Partner Marketing to ensure launches feel social‑first, not added on.
- Push creative boundaries: Experiment with new formats and ideas that stretch how Affirm shows up in culture.
- Measure and refine: Use social listening and analytics to capture insights, optimize, and continually raise the bar.
What We Look For
- 8–10 years of experience in social and community, with flexibility to consider exceptional candidates with 5+ years who demonstrate outsize cultural fluency and impact.
- Deep knowledge of trends, memes, creators, and communities shaping culture, with the ability to spot what matters before it peaks.
- Proven track record of sparking conversation and building community—not just publishing content, but creating connection and participation.
- Strong creative instincts and storytelling skills across formats, from short‑form video to emerging cultural expressions.
- Experience collaborating with creators and cultural voices to amplify stories authentically.
- Comfort moving fast in real‑time, with judgment to know when to act and when not to.
- Analytical mindset using social listening and reporting tools (e.g., Sprout Social) to guide decisions.
- Collaborative, curious, and energized by working across teams to make campaigns and moments social‑first.
Base Pay Grade: K
Equity Grade: 6
Employees new to Affirm typically start at the beginning of the pay range. Total compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits such as 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.
USA Base Pay Range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT): $140,000 - $190,000 per year.
USA Base Pay Range (all other U.S. states): $124,000 - $174,000 per year.
Visa sponsorship is not available for the position. The role is remote‑first. Applicants may work anywhere within the country of employment; occasional office attendance may be required.
