Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Pipeline Design Leader to join our Resilience Water Team in Southern California. As the Senior Water/Wastewater Pipeline Design Leader, you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge to lead and manage project delivery and assist with the pursuit of municipal water/wastewater pipeline projects to grow our conveyance practice across California. The focus is water/wastewater design for linear projects, including pipeline assessment and rehabilitation. This position offers growth opportunities as you manage delivery teams and build strong client relationships. Role accountabilities

The Senior Water/Wastewater Pipeline Design Leader provides technical leadership and supports a team of engineers while executing projects and developing the team’s capabilities. Manage planning, design and construction of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, stormwater systems, and pump/lift stations; create construction documents, specifications, and oversee construction for both new construction and rehabilitation work. Travel to project sites, client meetings, team meetings, conferences, etc., as needed. Lead condition assessment evaluations for water, wastewater, and storm system assets (pipelines and pump/lift stations) using varied approaches and technologies. Ensure projects meet budgets and delivery schedules; manage scope, schedule, and budget efficiently. Collaborate with clients to identify needs, offer solutions, and lead teams in crafting proposals and delivering presentations. Coordinate with other disciplines and the Project/Program Manager to execute projects seamlessly. Prepare comprehensive construction packages for engineering, procurement, and construction of water and wastewater systems; manage cost estimates, project schedules, and ensure design tasks are completed on time and within budget. Supervise and mentor colleagues, junior engineers, and design/drafting staff; ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices, quality, and safety standards. Perform people management tasks including hiring, onboarding, staff development, mentoring, and performance management. Key Skills and Attributes

Excellent technical engineering and project/task management skills in water/wastewater practice; strong experience in design and construction of water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater systems, and pump/lift stations; pipeline and pump station design experience is highly desirable. Strong written and oral communication skills for effective collaboration and conveying complex engineering concepts. Proficient in preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates; ability to build and maintain client relationships and develop proposals; manage client expectations through delivery. Proficiency in MS Office applications. Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications

10 years of Water/Wastewater experience. Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field. California PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months. Preferred Qualifications

15+ years of experience. Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering or an MBA. Master planning experience. Alternative Project Delivery experience. Active participation in regional or national professional associations. NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP Certification. Why Arcadis?

The salary range for this position is $174,000-$242,000. Actual salaries vary based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
