Responsibilities
Conduct and own mobile ethnographic research, utilizing a mix of qualitative methods to explore user behaviors and attitudes
Deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations of homeowners to guide product and strategy decisions
Champion and teach ethnographic research methods to the broader UX Research team
Synthesize research findings into actionable insights relevant to strategy initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between research and business objectives
Qualifications
Principal-level: 12+ years of relevant experience with a proven ability to lead strategic research engagements
Experience designing, launching, and managing sophisticated qualitative studies, including longitudinal diary studies and in-depth interviews
Comfort and consistent experience translating complex qualitative datasets into meaningful insights
Strong storytelling skills to build evidence-based narratives that influence roadmap decisions
Experience working within a two-sided marketplace, such as home services or e-commerce
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a fast-paced, business-focused environment
Familiarity with the gig economy or related industries
