Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities

The Communications Coordinator for the Variety Care Network (NorthCare and Variety Care) will be a member of the outreach team. The Communications Coordinator’s primary role is to support communication across the Variety Care Network, assisting with copywriting, graphic design, social media efforts, and in-person community events for NorthCare and Variety Care. This position will work closely with the Outreach team to increase awareness, knowledge of NorthCare and Variety Care’s services, and to increase patient utilization of NorthCare and Variety Care services and programs.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Brainstorms with team members to develop creative ideas for promotional events and campaigns to execute successful campaigns. Plans and executes, under direct supervision, initiatives to reach target audiences through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, TV, Google, etc.). Assists with graphics, photography and copywriting for internal communications campaigns, digital displays, collateral and special projects as needed. Maintains awareness of marketing best practices/tools to achieve successful campaigns and promotions. Attends, and/or participates in special events and promotions advocating for NorthCare/Variety Care and our patients. Assists with interior sign requests. Supports Variety Care’s accreditation as a Patient Centered Medical Home and our commitment to provide care to all Variety patients that is Safe, Effective, Patient Centered, Timely, Efficient, and Equitable. Provide leadership and work with all staff to achieve the goals of the “Triple Aim” of healthcare reform—to improve the experience of care, improve health outcomes, and decrease healthcare costs. Embodies the strength of personal character. Places value on being an open and honest communicator who displays high moral and ethical conduct, integrity, adaptability, and sound judgment. Must be a leader in the department and community. Result-oriented problem solver who is responsible and accountable. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or minimum of one (1) year of experience working in the marketing, communications, or similar relevant field. Entry level knowledge of traditional and digital marketing and communications methods. Entry level communication, interpersonal skills. Entry level organizational and time management skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects. Experience writing clean copy for internal and external communications preferred. Ability to work independently and be a team player.

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level InDesign/Illustrator Entry-level Canva

Essential Functions

Ability to lift 25 pounds. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
