Overview Group Creative Director , CRM role based in Detroit or Metro-Detroit. This position is with Merkle within the dentsu group. The role focuses on creating digital-first, data-driven work across messaging channels including email, push, in-app experiences, loyalty-led promotions and gamification, while satisfying branding requirements for clients.
Must be located in Detroit.
Responsibilities Work with the team to produce best-in-class experiences across CRM channels – email, SMS, MMS, Push integrated with experiential promotions, gamification and loyalty programs
Lead the creation of email custom design systems as well as utilize and scale existing client design systems
Support creative work partnered with Strategy and Analytics teams using all available insights including customer feedback, quantitative data and usability findings
Work with cross-functional teams and leaders to ensure user adoption and client satisfaction
Be a trusted creative voice for your accounts and develop good relationships with your clients
Demonstrate to clients that you understand their challenges and respond to their creative and strategic requirements
Mentor direct reports and foster a collaborative culture
Oversee creative decisions, align with messaging strategies, elevate work quality, and meet client objectives while achieving financial goals
Act as a day-to-day leadership presence between client and creative teams, presenting and selling concepts and guiding the client-facing creative voice
Qualifications 15+ years of experience or equivalent
5+ years' experience in a creative leadership capacity
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, digital design, copywriting or related field
Experience with multiple technology platforms and media channels (ESPs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Braze; Creative collaboration software such as Figma)
Understanding of Experience Design and the role of creative in achieving outcomes
Portfolio with compelling ideas and solid usability
Digital, interactive and customer experience agency or consultancy experience desired
Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate client meetings and lead presentations
Strong team leadership and mentoring skills; able to inspire collaboration
Knowledge of Email Service Providers (ESPs) and creative collaboration tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Figma)
Genuine passion for consumer engagement and brand outcomes
Additional Information The anticipated base salary range is $136,000 - $219,650. Placement within the range depends on experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors allowed by law.
