What You Will Do Engineering Information Data hub (Single point of contact for VSL/PM, Ops, Configuration Management (CM), Security, etc) for assigned program
Multi-disciplinary engineering team leader for systems, software, electrical, mechanical, and quality
Customer’s Technical Interface
Guide engineering development in accordance with Collins Management Systems, Engineering Process, requirements, budget, and schedule
Develops and monitors project plans, schedules, and budgets for small to mid-size projects and suggests adjustments to ensure adherence
Ensure appropriate staffing in collaboration with group managers
Identify and resolve resource issues, escalating when needed
Support Technical Risk and Opportunity mitigation tasks
Pursue cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation to maximize project profitability
Record and document delays, changes in scope, and other incidents affecting scope or schedule
Conduct meetings, consolidate, and present plans and progress reports related to business aspects of the project(s)
Identify and respond to project problems and recommend solutions (e.g., reallocate resources or adjust contractual specifications)
Lead engineering bid efforts
Provide input to Gate Review material, Project Management Reviews, and EAC Reviews
This position may require occasional travel domestically and internationally
Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
Experience as a Project Engineer or Technical Program Manager, ideally overseeing a small to medium sized program
Outstanding leadership, organization, and presentation skills
Strong conceptual, planning, and problem-solving skills with a robust technical background
Experience as a Control Account Manager or similar in managing project schedules and budgets
Experience with requirements management, ideally on platforms like JAMA or DOORs
Ability to travel 25% of the time or more
Qualifications We Prefer Knowledge of core concepts of simulator visual systems, such as display systems or image generators
Active Security Clearance, or active within last 24 months
An advanced degree in a relevant field

Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The range is a good-faith estimate based on experience and other factors. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) matching, and other role-dependent offerings.
