Product Line Manager, Bioprocessing
to join our team in North Brunswick, New Jersey.
In this pivotal role, you’ll drive the growth and success of our bioprocessing product portfolio—serving as a key technical and strategic resource for internal teams and external customers alike. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, you’ll collaborate across engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support to shape product direction and fuel commercial success.
Responsibilities
Drive initiatives to achieve product line sales objectives, including direct technical sales support, new product introductions, product enhancements, business partnerships, and collaborations
Interface with customers, Engineering, Customer Service, Marketing, Production, and Sales to guide the direction of the product line
Lead customer-facing product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical presentations
Coordinate, design, lead, and document upstream bioprocessing application studies covering fermentation, cell culture, and cell-free processes
Author technical white papers, training modules, SOPs, and other documents to support continued product line growth
Collaborate with regional sales team members to generate new sales opportunities and drive business growth
Technically qualify customer inquiries and provide support to the sales staff
Stay informed on market trends to ensure the product line remains competitive
Actively participate in the planning and attendance of trade shows
Lead product line training initiatives to ensure the organization can effectively sell and support the products
Assist in the development of training programs for new and existing sales channels
Requirements
Degree in Chemical or Biological Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences field, with relevant industry experience requirements as follows: B.S. degree with 5–7 years, M.S. degree with 3–5 years or, Ph.D. degree with 1–3 years of relevant industry experience
Experience in upstream biopharmaceutical process development, process characterization, or technology transfer
Hands‑on experience in laboratory or production‑scale cell culture or fermentation
Demonstrated ability to lead technical presentations and training sessions
Experience authoring technical manuscripts, SOPs, and training materials for lab or production environments
Prior project or product management experience preferred
Willingness and ability to travel 30%–40%, both domestically and internationally
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Strong team collaboration skills
Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
Comfortable adapting to shifting priorities and handling interruptions
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Proficient in SAS JMP software
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Proven ability to contribute in a team‑oriented environment
