Overview: The Assistant Community Manager will assist in overseeing day-to-day operations at one of our apartment communities, responsible for effectively computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to keep financial records complete while assisting with leasing, marketing, and resident relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform marketing and leasing functions to maintain budgeted or greater occupancy for the property
  • Implement effective resident retention programs
  • Maintain good resident relations and respond to resident concerns
  • Collect rents and make daily deposits and reconciliations monthly
  • Enforce rent collection policy
  • Process invoices
  • Monitor renewals and distribute and follow-up on renewal notices
  • Prepare paperwork for move-ins in a timely manner
  • Produce monthly reports for Property Manager

Education And Experience:

  • 2+ years tax credit experience
  • Related multi-family property management experience
  • HUD rules and regulations, as well as policies and procedures of low-income housing programs
  • Experience with OneSite software a plus
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • A current, valid Driver License is required

Qualifications:

  • Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods, climbing stairs, reading documents, and operating a computer
  • Work environment includes working on site with exposure to the elements and potentially hazardous areas
