Position Overview: We’re looking for an

Industrial Designer

who thrives at the intersection of form, function, and manufacturability.

You’ll be responsible for defining how Dyna’s robotic systems look, feel, and interact with the world — creating designs that are not only sleek and intuitive, but also optimized for production and long-term reliability.

This role is deeply cross‑functional. You’ll work side by side with our Hardware R&D, Engineering, and Product teams to turn technical innovations and customer insights into production‑ready designs that elevate the user experience and reflect Dyna’s design vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive industrial design from concept through mass production — crafting cohesive, high‑quality designs that express Dyna’s brand and purpose.

Collaborate with Hardware R&D to explore innovative materials, mechanisms, and components (e.g., joints, wheels, flexible assemblies, finishes).

Partner with Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure designs are mechanically sound, manufacturable, and cost‑effective at scale.

Work closely with the Product team to translate real‑world client needs and operational use cases into elegant, durable design solutions.

Build prototypes, run design reviews, and iterate based on engineering and field feedback.

Consider every detail — from ergonomics and assembly to serviceability and quality impact over lifetime use.

Define and evolve Dyna’s hardware design language across product lines.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in industrial design for robotics, automotive, or consumer hardware.

Portfolio demonstrating excellence in both aesthetic design and engineering collaboration.

Deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (plastics, metals, sheet metal, casting, overmolding, etc.).

Hands‑on experience working with engineers and suppliers through prototype and production phases.

Strong CAD and rendering proficiency (SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias, KeyShot, or equivalent).

Exceptional attention to detail and appreciation for design that balances form, function, and durability.

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, iterative environment alongside engineers and builders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience designing robotic or electromechanical systems.

Familiarity with DFMA/DFM, tolerance design, and reliability testing.

Experience with manufacturing partner collaboration or supplier audits.

Mechanical engineering background or equivalent technical fluency.
