Overview
Gansevoort Hotel Group is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our Sales & Marketing Team. This position will primarily be responsible for overseeing digital marketing, social media efforts, PR, and any ad‑hoc marketing projects.
Responsibilities
Strategic Social Media Management:
Craft, execute, and oversee a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with our lifestyle luxury brand ethos. Engage our audience through compelling content and interactive campaigns.
Creative and Visual Content Development:
Utilize Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to design standout visuals. Oversee the creation of all digital marketing materials, from website banners to email campaigns, ensuring consistency and quality that reflects our luxury standards.
Digital Campaign Management:
Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. Collaborate with external agencies to deliver innovative campaigns that stand out in the luxury market.
Content Curation and Brand Storytelling:
Develop a content calendar that tells our brand's story in a compelling way, aligning with seasonal themes, hotel events, and promotional offers. Ensure content is optimized for each digital platform, from Instagram stories to LinkedIn posts.
Market and Competitor Analysis:
Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends and competitor activity. Use insights to inform marketing strategies, identifying opportunities to innovate and lead in the luxury hospitality space.
Performance Analytics and Reporting:
Regularly analyze and report on the performance of all digital marketing activities. Use data to refine strategies, improve engagement, and demonstrate ROI to stakeholders.
Digital Campaign Assistance:
Contribute to the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns, working closely with the Associate Director of Marketing to ensure cohesion across all digital touchpoints. Assist in tracking performance and preparing reports on campaign results.
Market Research:
Conduct ongoing research on industry trends and competitor activities. Compile findings to inform the marketing team’s strategy and creative brainstorming sessions.
Analytics and Reporting Assistance:
Support the Digital Marketing Manager in interpreting data, identifying trends, and making data‑driven recommendations for strategy adjustments.
Creative Collaboration:
Work closely with the creative team to brief and develop visual assets for digital marketing initiatives, ensuring all content is on‑brand, innovative, and tailored to specific digital platforms.
Vendor Coordination:
Assist with coordinating external vendors and partners, including digital agencies, freelance creatives, and platform representatives, to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
Event Promotion:
Support the marketing team in the digital promotion of hotel events, offerings, and announcements. Utilize digital channels to maximize event attendance and engagement.
PR:
Action PR requests by coordinating content and required assets with F&B (e.g., specialty cocktails, brand partnerships, event activations). Contribute to bi‑weekly calls with the PR team, influencer coordination, and content ideation. Oversee press, influencer, and partnership photoshoots on property. Maintain and print marketing materials, including mini‑bar menus, stickers, and signage. Monitor digital assets such as Google Nest Hub content and partner communications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Marketing experience of 2+ years within the Hospitality sector (previous hotel sales and marketing or restaurant marketing experience preferred).
Business letter writing, organizational skills, and telephone etiquette.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, Canva, and general computer literacy.
Confidentiality in all aspects of the business.
Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and late evenings.
Multilingual skills are highly desirable.
Strong numerical literacy (rate, ratio, percentages); ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to work independently and type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
Cooperative, approachable, team‑oriented attitude and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality or related business field.
Willingness to attend events and trade shows as needed.
Physical Requirements
Work stationary for at least 8 hours per day and/or stand for 8–10 hours for trade shows.
Communicate clearly with potential guests and clients.
Pull, lift, or move packages up to 40 pounds.
Move within the office to make copies and send faxes.
Operate computer and reach items on the desk (requires depth perception and balance).

Compensation & Benefits Salary: $80,000–$85,000 annually (commensurate with experience). Full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision insurance, commuter benefit, paid time off, and other company perks.
Work Hours & Schedule This is an on‑site role requiring flexibility. Long hours and weekend/holiday availability may be required depending on business demands.
