Responsibilities
- Provide court reporting services to the Western States Network Consortium.
- Support requirements for the Assist program and project management in a functional area.
- Produce accurate, timely, appropriately bound and indexed transcribed testimony from witnesses using required equipment.
- Arrive punctually and display a professional demeanor; provide all necessary equipment and materials to perform duties.
- Read portions of transcripts when requested by a presiding body and clarify inaudible statements; conduct interviews in English.
- Administer oaths and ensure depositions are transcribed by a duly authorized notary.
- Accommodate required turnaround times; deliver work products that are thorough, accurate, and properly documented in accordance with established criteria.
- Maintain the highest standards of ethical and business conduct; meet milestones and delivery schedules as outlined.
- Comply with all federal and VA regulations governing court reporting and related activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience in court reporting.
- Certification as a National Court Reports Association (NCRA) Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) or equivalent state licensing.
- Proficient in English with ability to read, understand, speak, and write fluently.
- Holds or can obtain the necessary security clearance for federal assignments.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Proficient in using a computer, email, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Adobe and other business tools is desirable.
- Ability to administer oaths and meet all required background investigative procedures.
Technical Proficiency
- Must be technically proficient in all skills necessary to fulfill government requirements, including English communication written and verbal.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, pull, push, lift up to 20 pounds, reach, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
Credentialing and Privileging
Prior to employment, submit NCRA RPR certification or equivalent within one week upon request.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or training. Travel will be coordinated and approved in writing under Federal Travel Regulations.
Location
Work will be conducted at or near Northern Arizona VA Health Care System.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
- Eligible for a Facility Access Authorization (Employment Authorization) as required by the U.S. government’s security office.
