Title: User Experience Hardware Electrical Engineer

Industry: Automotive

Location: Foster City, CA

Responsibilities

• Specify electrical component and system requirements and lead engineering discussions and development with suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier tooling and production to meet critical vehicle milestones.
• Collaborate with hardware design teams, firmware and software teams, and system operators to iterate on existing designs and develop future solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis during the development, validation, build, and deployment phases for issue resolution.
• Support the development and execution of system and component-level validation test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical component/system design and troubleshooting.
• Experience taking a part or assembly from concept through production, working with external suppliers, and managing deliverables for multiple projects.
• Automotive (CAN bus, automotive Ethernet, A2B, and other automotive networks), aerospace, or other safety-critical industry experience.
• Experience with on-board digital serial interfaces such as SPI, UART, I2C, and I2S.
