Packaging Designer – Corrugated

Summary
Responsible for creating structural box samples to assist Sales Representatives in sales promotions.
Essential Functions
- Discuss design projects with Sales Representatives and select the appropriate designs.
- Create samples on CAD table or cut samples by hand.
- Record keeping and filing of specifications.
- Meet time schedules on projects with possible overtime involved.
- Create production specifications from prototype.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
- Duties may vary depending on location.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher in the field of computers, CAD, or drafting. Will consider years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in corrugated packaging preferred.
- Knowledge of Artios CAD, Kongsberg table, or similar tools.
- Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office programs.

- May occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas under certain areas requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
