Packaging Designer – Corrugated

Summary

Responsible for creating structural box samples to assist Sales Representatives in sales promotions.

Essential Functions

• Discuss design projects with Sales Representatives and select the appropriate designs.
• Create samples on CAD table or cut samples by hand.
• Record keeping and filing of specifications.
• Meet time schedules on projects with possible overtime involved.
• Create production specifications from prototype.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
• Duties may vary depending on location.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in the field of computers, CAD, or drafting. Will consider years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience

• 3–5 years’ experience in corrugated packaging preferred.
• Knowledge of Artios CAD, Kongsberg table, or similar tools.
• Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office programs.

• Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and typical office equipment in a typical office.
• May occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas under certain areas requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
